It's situated just south of the Brooklyn Bridge, so you can walk the 30 minutes across to Manhattan—or take one of the four subway lines on the doorstep—and if you choose wisely among the 659 rooms and suites, you get that skyline view (insist on one above the sixth floor facing Manhattan when you book).
