The staff at this hotel handles any request with confidence, whether it's a table at The Tasting Room, or a last-minute spa appointment at Crown Spa. Be sure to check out Crown Towers' art exhibit — which opened in 2010 to celebrate the hotel's first year of business — to see the work of many well-known Chinese artists on display.

Star
"The best budget deal in town, with no-frills but spotless rooms in an atmospheric early-1900s building featuring wooden shutters and balconies over Rua da Felicidade."
Lonely Planet
"Built in 1873, San Va, with its green partitions and retro tiles, is about the cheapest and most atmospheric lodging in town – Wong Kar-wai filmed parts of 2046 here." Full review
