Downtown Miami's top business hotels

Headed to Miami for business? You won't go wrong staying at one of these stylish, centrally located hotels.

Miami is known for its party scene on the beach, but not everyone travels here for fun in the sun. The professionals who come to the city on business need a relaxing place to crash after all-day meetings and evening cocktails with clients. Luckily, downtown Miami has plenty of hotels tailored to the business crowds, including these ten that offer a place to work and stay, with just a touch of play - when possible.

The Mandarin Oriental, set along Brickell Key’s private island exudes privacy and poise. The luxury brand hotel with 295 guest rooms and 21 suites offers bay views throughout - including in most of the many multi-functional meeting rooms.

Located in the center of downtown, the Four Seasons is a must for the on-the-go career oriented. A minimalist design found throughout the 5-star hotel is easy on the eyes, with spacious rooms with even bigger terraces, and a modern steakhouse that’s ideal for meeting clients.

Simple and chic describe the Conrad, a 36-story Hilton hotel aimed at business travelers. Don’t expect a wild party scene or any celebrities roaming the halls here, but instead soak up a refined sanctuary of a quiet outdoor pool and tucked away wine bar hosting boutique bottles.

Go big or go home at the EPIC, a waterfront Kimpton hotel dazzling its guests in downtown. Here you have all the luxury amenities needed for a comfortable stay - Miami style - including a pool deck with cabanas, a private marina to dock your boat, and a view of the city’s skyline that might steer you away from your last appointment.

Once the sought-after Viceroy, the W Miami has reinvented itself after a recent buyout from Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Today, the business suits and skirts flock here for not only the prime location - directly on Biscayne Bay - but for the new W Living Room located on the 15th floor and swanky cocktail lounge on the rooftop.

Boasting views of Miami Beach, the Atlantic Ocean, and Biscayne Bay, the InterContinental offers a lookout point you can’t get just anywhere in the Magic City. This 35-story hotel is all about location, including being only steps away from the Bayside Marketplace and the financial district making for an easy commute.

Comfortable work spaces and free WiFi help bring in the business crowds, but Brickell’s JW Marriott isn’t all work and no play. Downtime calls for sipping cocktail in the signature pub, lounging by the outdoor pool, or relaxing in one of the 274 guestrooms (or 22 suites) equipped with kitchenette and wet bars. Bonus: it’s only a few miles away from South Beach if you’re feeling adventurous.

The Hotel Beaux Arts, parked on the top three floors of the JW Marriott Marquis in the financial district, oozes sophistication and seclusion. The 44-room property is a favorite among the elite business professionals (ahem, the Executive Suite) with its in-room espresso machines and high-end fitness center overlooking the city.

Simplicity is key at the Hyatt Regency in downtown. Set right off the river, it’s modern but sensible, reeling in the business jet-setters with its modest digs and low-profile clientele - not to mention over 100,000 square feet of workspace. Efficient service comes hand-in-hand with spacious suites overlooking the river.

A hub for the business globetrotter, the Hilton has everything needed for a comfortable and convenient stay. With its ideal downtown location, 24-hour business center, and 43,000 square feet of meeting space, the on-the-go professional will feel right at home. Of course the 527 recently renovated guest rooms and 28 suites holding bay views don’t hurt either.
