"The centerpiece of the marble-floored lobby at the King Solomon is a huge, spherical sculpture of Jerusalem by renowned sculptor Frank Meisler."
Frommer's
"The entrance is on a service driveway between the two thoroughfares and opens onto an airy, multilevel stone-floor lobby." Full review
Lonely Planet
"If 'faded 1970s grandeur' ever becomes fashionable, this place will become one of the hippest hotels in Jerusalem. But until then it's just a tired concrete pile with uninspiring interior decor."

Standard rooms are no-frills affairs that feel like college dorms (ask for one facing the Old City).
Frommer's
"The complex boasts excellent views of the Old City and a network of terraces, gardens, and courtyards...it contains rooms with private bathrooms that can be arranged for two to six people." Full review

The rooms are worn from heavy use. But we still recommend Bet Schmuel for all the cultural perks it offers. Visitors of all faiths and ages are welcome.
