Even though several cells have been combined to make guest rooms spacious and modern, and additional windows make sure that guests don’t feel claustrophobic, the prison feel is still very present, especially in the lobby area.

Parts of the original building date back from 1920s, which leaves it with some charming brick work, but most of the hotel's interior has been combined with dark wood to make sure the old factory feel is replaced with warmth and coziness.

"'Seaside' conjures up ocean views and beaches but the actual vistas of Helsinki’s West Harbour with cruise ships docking and an icebreaker shipyard are just as exhilarating." Full review
